DonateLiberty Hill City Council Approves New Fire Code Changes
The City of Liberty Hill has adopted a new fire protection ordinance in response to the loss of more than 70 pets in a fire at the Ponderosa Pet Resort in Georgetown last fall.
The new ordinance, which aligns directly with Williamson County Emergency Services District #4, requires all pet facilities that do not provide 24-hour, round-the-clock care to animals to install a monitored fire system. Current facilities that do not have a system already installed have six months from April 18, 2022, to comply to the new ordinance.
